Volunteer Spotlight - November
Volunteer Spotlight: Mary Shult
How long have you been with HWMAR and how did you get involved with the rescue?
I started volunteering with HWMAR back in 2018. I have fostered both dogs and cats and currently I am the proud fur-mom to 2 HWMAR alums!
What do you do for the rescue?
I am the medical coordinator for our dogs. I review all medical information on incoming dogs and determine what they need to them healthy and up-to-date on vaccines. I coordinate all vet visits with our vet partners while the dogs are in our care.
What do you love about this organization?
I love that this rescue puts the needs of the animals before all else. We will do whatever we can to make sure they are healthy and ready for a forever home!
What do you love about your job?
I have met some of my closest friends through the rescue. It's amazing seeing the dedication of so many people and their unwavering commitment to helping as many animals as possible! It is great knowing I contributed a small part in improving these animals' lives!
Is there anything else you would like people to know?
GET INVOLVED! We are always looking for volunteers who want to help us make a difference.
